In 1998, a major expansion of the park was undertaken in which the relocation of the CSIRO National Petroleum Research Centre to the park was one of the major forces driving the expansion.
WorleyParsons undertook the following work scope for this11.2 hectare expansion:
- Project management of the design team
- Planning services, including sub divisional application and overall master planning for the precinct
- Environmental assessment of the site
- Community consultation and the facilitation of a public forum
- Design of all services, including roads, drainage, sewerage, work supply, power distribution and communication
- Feasibility study of potential hotel sites
- Landscaping, artwork and signage throughout the park
- Contract management services
