The Chief Executive Officer’s Committee comprises the leaders of our regions, customer sector groups and key functional areas. Its core responsibilities include the development of cohesive strategies for the optimum use of our resources, the effective implementation of shared initiatives and the achievement of safety and performance targets in line with our strategic objectives.
John Grill
Chief Executive Officer
John joined ESSO Australia in 1968 and in 1971 became Chief Executive of the entity that ultimately became WorleyParsons Limited, Wholohan Grill and Partners. This specialised consulting practice acquired the business of Worley Engineering Pty Limited in Australia in 1987. Following group restructuring, in 2002 Worley Group Limited listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. In 2004, Worley Group Limited acquired Parsons E&C Corporation, a US-based global project services company, and changed its name to WorleyParsons Limited. In March 2007 WorleyParsons then acquired the Colt Group in Canada substantially increasing the group's capability in the upstream and downstream components of oil sands. John has personal expertise in every aspect of project delivery for projects in the resources and energy industries. He has been directly involved with most of WorleyParsons’ major clients and remains closely involved at Board level with WorleyParsons’ joint ventures.
William Hall
Managing Director - Mega Projects
William (Bill) joined the Board in 2004 following the Company’s acquisition of Parsons E&C Corporation. Bill was with the Parsons Group for 25 years. He became Chairman and CEO of Parsons Energy & Chemicals Group Inc. in 2002. Prior to this position he served as President of Parsons Energy & Chemicals Group Inc. (1997-2001), President of The Ralph M. Parsons Company (1992-1995), and Senior Vice President and Manager of the Petroleum & Chemical (P&C) Division with the company (1989-1991). Bill has 42 years experience in the global engineering field, holding a number of key project and other US and international management positions with Parsons. Bill has bachelor and master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and has completed the Executive Program at Stanford University. He is also on the Board of Directors of the US-Saudi Arabian Business Council.
David Housego
Chief Financial Officer
David joined the company in July 1999 as Chief Financial Officer. He led the corporate reorganisation and Initial Public Offering and listing on the ASX of Worley Group Limited (now WorleyParsons Limited) in 2002 and the subsequent capital raisings for the acquisition of Parsons E&C in 2004 and the Colt Group in 2007. He joined the Board as an Executive Director in 2002.
Peter Meurs
Managing Director - EcoNomics
Peter joined the company in 1988 and has functioned in project management and company development roles including establishment of the foundations of the process business, the establishment and growth of alliance and integrated services contracts in Hydrocarbons and Minerals & Metals and the development of the New Zealand business. Peter is responsible for the EcoNomics initiative. With a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia, Peter is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Craig Reeves
Managing Director – Corporate Services
Craig joined WorleyParsons in March 2001 and has held a variety of Senior and Project Management Positions in our Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and Europe Operations before taking up his current role as the Managing Director of Corporate Services. Craig has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
Iain Ross
Managing Director – M & A, Strategy & CSG
Iain began his career in the UK North Sea working for Conoco (UK) in 1983. He worked for international oil and gas companies including Mcdermott International Inc, John Brown and Amec Engineering. Iain joined the Company in 1994 as manager of the Brunei office. With a broad technical and geographical skill base, Iain has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
Andrew Wood
Managing Director - Australia / New Zealand
Andrew has over 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry and is responsible for our Australian / New Zealand operations. He managed the successful acquisition of Parsons E&C Corporation in November 2004 and The Colt Companies in March 2007. Previously, Andrew was responsible for WorleyParsons' early expansion into Thailand and the Middle East, Canada and Chile in his capacity as Managing Director for International Operations. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering and Graduate Diplomas in Financial Management and Labour Management Relations. He is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.
Mark Trueman
Managing Director – Power
Mark is responsible for the Power sector globally. Mark joined WorleyParsons in 1994 as country manager for Singapore before taking on various Regional Director roles in the Power and Infrastructure sectors in Asia, the Middle East and Australia / New Zealand. He has also led several regional acquisitions in Singapore, South Africa, India, China, Vietnam and Australia. Prior to joining the company, Mark worked for Arup in the UK and Australia. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Singapore and Australia with an honours degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Brian Evans
Managing Director - Hydrocarbons
Brian Evans is Managing Director of WorleyParsons’ global Hydrocarbons customer sector group. In this role, he leads the development and implementation of global strategies in the Hydrocarbons sector, and is actively engaged in assuring the operational and financial success of the WorleyParsons’ Hydrocarbons business. Prior to joining WorleyParsons, Brian held senior positions at ConocoPhillips and Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR). Brian has a Bachelor in Science (Ocean Engineering) and post-graduate studies in business administration.
Gordon Cowe
Managing Director – Infrastructure & Environment
Gordon is responsible for the development and implementation of the Global Infrastructure & Environment strategy. He joined WorleyParsons in 1989 to develop business opportunities in Brunei. Since then Gordon has been involved in leading the Transfield Worley joint venture contract for the provision of engineering maintenance and modification services for Woodside Offshore Petroleum Pty Ltd’s North West Shelf LNG project as well as leading WorleyParsons’ businesses in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. During his career with WorleyParsons, Gordon has project managed resource development projects in the Hydrocarbon, Mineral & Metals and Infrastructure sectors. Most notably the recent delivery of Fortescue Metals Group’s mine, railway and port development in Western Australia’s Pilbara. He holds an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Strathclyde University, Scotland.
Mark Southey
Managing Director - Minerals & Metals
Mark is responsible for the Minerals & Metals customer sector globally. He was formerly a Senior Vice President with Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), Mark brings to WorleyParsons strong financial, commercial and operational experience. He has a successful track record in leading and managing large industrial and technology-based global service businesses having previously held senior international management roles with both ABB and Honeywell in Europe. Mark has a MBA and a Bachelor of Science (Engineering).
David Steele
Managing Director -
Middle East, China and South East Asia
David has over 25 years experience across a wide range of sectors including oil & gas, petrochemicals, minerals processing and power generation and transmission and other infrastructure. David is responsible for our operations in the Middle East, China and South East Asia. David also works with Harry Sauer to coordinate the strategy planning and development process for the Company. Prior to joining WorleyParsons in 1999, David held positions with ABB and Rolls Royce Industrial Power (Pacific). David holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Business Administration and is a member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Chartered Professional Engineer.
Dr Robert Edwardes
Managing Director - US & Latin America
Robert joined the company in 2002 following a 25 year career with ExxonMobil. Robert’s experience within the oil and gas industry spans upstream operations and projects, including HSE and operations integrity, production technology, development and corporate planning, plus major capital project delivery. His initial role was to develop WorleyParsons’ floating production capability based on his experience managing deepwater projects for ExxonMobil in West Africa. In parallel he assumed responsibility for strengthening of WorleyParsons’ project delivery systems, in addition to managing the Australia Hydrocarbons business following the acquisition of Parsons E&C. He is now responsible for our operations in US & Latin America. Robert holds both a Bachelor degree and Doctorate in Civil Engineering.
Stuart Bradie
Managing Director - Europe & Africa
Stuart is responsible for our Europe and Africa operations. He has held senior management roles in Ranhill WorleyParsons Sdn Bhd – Malaysia and he has overseen the rapid growth of WorleyParsons‘ businesses in Malaysia, South-East Asia and the Middle East. Prior to joining WorleyParsons, Stuart held Managing Director and Country Manager roles with PT Kvaerner Indonesia and Kvaerner Philippines. Stuart has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aberdeen University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School.
Larry Benke
Managing Director - Canada
Larry is responsible for the Canadian operations. He joined Colt Edmonton as a design engineer in 1977 and has undertaken engineering design, project management and other management roles within the business. In 1988, Larry established the Toronto and Sarnia offices as General Manager before returning to Calgary in 1999 as President of Colt. He has been successful in leading Colt through a period of substantial growth and expansion into the new disciplines of pipelines, power generation and geomatics. Larry graduated from the University of Alberta in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Honours Standing).
Greg Clinnick
Managing Director - Risk Management
Greg joined WorleyParsons in 1997 after a career in banking and general management in various services industries. Within WorleyParsons Greg has held various senior roles in finance, administration and internal audit. Now as Managing Director of Risk Management he has stewardship of the corporate and project risk management functions including contracts, security, business continuity and strategic risk management. Greg holds a bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University, a Diploma in Directors Duties and he has recently completed a post graduate certificate in Risk Management from Swinburne University.
