Qatar Petroleum has awarded the Khuff Wellhead Treatment Plant Facilities and Electrical System Upgrades Project to the Mecon-Worley Alliance.
The Mecon-Worley Alliance is responsible for all engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of this prestigious brown-field work at Khuff. The duration of the project is 22 months with extensive detailed engineering during the first six months of the project.
The work includes the installation of in-line heaters, methanol injection packages, building of sub-stations, extensive upgrading of electrical and instrumentation systems, plus numerous associated system and material upgrades, in order to increase production from 430MMscfd to 600MMscfd.
This is one of three EPC projects that the Alliance has underway in Qatar.
