WorleyParsons’ has had involvement in the development and enhancement of over 350 fixed offshore platforms around the world.
WorleyParsons’ experience encompasses some of the world’s largest jacket and most complex topside facilities. With the full range of supporting naval architectural and installation engineering services available in-house, WorleyParsons has successfully completed projects in some of the most hostile marine environments in the world.
Our extensive experience in developing technical solutions has led to a standardized development process that requires little pre-investment and reduces the total time to reach drill-ready status. Standardized designs allow rapid paths to the fabrication market through the use of off-the-shelf designs.
WorleyParsons maintains a geotechnical division to support foundation design covering through leg driven piles, drilled and grouted piles, suction piles/rafts and gravity based foundation systems. WorleyParsons understands the importance of local soil samples to best understand and address local challenges such as calciferous soils. Foundations can then be engineered to transmit the jacket loads to the underlying soil in such a way to prevent soil failure and displacement. Foundation designs are then evaluated based on risk, cost and schedule impacts considering the geotechnical, installation and imposed load factors. WorleyParsons has access to worldwide geotechnical and foundation design databases that enable ready benchmarking of previous designs, their effectiveness, and relative cost to ensure a technically sound outcome. In particular, WorleyParsons has leading expertise on gravity based steel jacket foundations.
WorleyParsons is not aligned with a major fabricator, installation contractor or supplier. This independent approach ensures the most technically compliant and cost effective solution for our customers.
